Using Nokia Lifeblog for Life Change

Mobile phones as probes, props and prototypes for life change

This project, funded by Nokia and jointly awarded Lancaster University and University of Melbourne, is examining using Nokia’s Lifeblog software, and blogging in general to support changes in people’s lives such as quitting smoking and becoming an ethical consumer. We are also interested in the insights that blogging, and data generated by multimedia phones in general (e.g. logs of phone calls, text messages) can provide into this life change process. More generally, we are investigating the role of multimedia phones (and the traces of interactions they support) as generators of digital documents of life. We also have a project blog: Using Lifeblog for Life Change.
